Invite a Brother Council

Sends a personal Brother-to-Brother note to another council's Financial Secretary inviting them to try DuesSync — they get a quick tour of the sample council, no signup required.

When to use it

Use it when you know an FS at another council who's still fighting dues collection by hand and would benefit from DuesSync. A note from a fellow Brother lands far better than a cold sales email, so the pitch comes from you in your own words. It's the warmest way to spread a tool that's helping your own council.

Step by step

  1. From the Dashboard, find the Invite a Brother Council pill in the top-right of the page header and click it. (On narrow screens it shows as just "Invite.")
  2. In the modal, confirm you're sending as yourself from your council — the other FS will be able to reply to you directly.
  3. Enter their FS email (required). Optionally add their name and council number to personalize the note.
  4. Add a short personal note in your own words — this is optional but strongly recommended (e.g. "The dues notices alone have been a game-changer for us this year").
  5. Click Send invite. The email opens with your name and council, includes your note, and ends with a link to a 2-minute tour of the sample council. You'll see a "Sent" confirmation, with the option to Send another.

Tips & gotchas

  • The note comes from you — the other FS can reply straight to your inbox. DuesSync follows up lightly; there are no pushy automated chases.
  • There are limits to keep it personal: up to 3 invites per day per user, and up to 10 per council per 7 days. You'll see a clear message if you hit either.
  • If the email belongs to a council already using DuesSync, or one your council already invited recently, the modal tells you instead of sending a duplicate.
  • The recipient gets a tour of the sample council — they don't have to sign up or create an account to look around.
  • The pill appears only for the Financial Secretary, and not while a super-admin is impersonating a council.
