Fellow Catholic Advocacy Director — the short version
You help the council live out faithful citizenship. You report to the Program Director and often work closely with the Faith and Life Directors.
What the role does
The Catholic Advocacy Director coordinates council participation in Catholic advocacy efforts — communicating Church teaching on public policy issues, organizing contact with elected officials, and promoting civic engagement among members.
- Church teaching — Share the bishops' and the Order's guidance on the issues of the day — clearly and charitably.
- Catholic Advocacy Network — Sign members up for the Order's advocacy alerts and help them respond.
- Contact officials — Organize letters, calls, and visits to elected officials on key issues.
- Civic engagement — Promote informed, faithful participation — without turning the council partisan.
