See if your council is on track for Star this fraternal year.
You’ll answer 4 short sections
The Star Council Award is the highest honor a local Knights of Columbus council can earn in a single fraternal year (July 1 — June 30). To qualify, a council must simultaneously earn three separate awards: the Father McGivney Award for membership growth, the Founders’ Award for Fraternal Benefit event promotion, and the Columbian Award for service programs across all four categories (Faith, Family, Community, Life). Councils must add new members equal to 6% of their July 1 size, with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15. Intake only — suspensions and withdrawals do not reduce the count. Transactions must be received and processed at Supreme by June 30. Councils reaching 200% of quota earn Double Star; 300% earns Triple Star.
Host or promote at least two Fraternal Benefit events during the fraternal year. Councils under 100 members need at least 10 attendees per event; councils of 100+ need at least 14. The Grand Knight submits Form #11077 within 7 days of each event.
Earn at least 4 program credits in each of the four Faith in Action categories (16 total). Featured programs count for 2 credits; standard programs count for 1. Submit Form #SP-7 by June 30 to claim the award. See how the four pillars add up to Columbian → · See the Columbian Award application in detail →
Separate from the three awards, your council must also be in good standing: Form #1728 (Annual Survey of Fraternal Activity), Form #365 (Service Program Personnel Report), Form #185 (Officers Chosen), Form #SP-7, and current Safe Environment compliance. See the full Good Standing checklist →
