When to use it
Once a month, to give the whole council a reason to hear from you between meetings. The bulletin gathers what's already in DuesSync — the calendar, the roster's birthdays and anniversaries, new members, program hours, and the last approved meeting's carried motions — so the Recorder writes a short note instead of hunting down every detail.
Step by step
- Open Programs → Meeting Minutes, then the Bulletin tab.
- Pick the month. The preview assembles instantly: coming-up events, this month's birthdays and anniversaries, new members, recent program activity, and a recap of the last meeting.
- Write an opening message and any announcements — the preview updates as you type.
- Click Download PDF for a print-ready copy to post in the hall or hand out.
- To send it, click Email to members. This creates a draft on the Broadcast screen, where you review it, send a test to yourself, and send to every active member — using the same delivery, unsubscribe, and preference handling as any council broadcast.
Tips & gotchas
- Birthdays, anniversaries, new members, and program activity are pulled for the month you select; upcoming events look ahead about six weeks. Event times show in the council's timezone.
- Only sections with content appear — an empty month simply shows your note.
- Email to members is available to broadcast-capable officers (FS/GK/DGK). A Recorder without those rights can still Download the PDF to print or hand to the GK/FS to send.
- The email goes out through the council Broadcast pipeline, so members' unsubscribe and email preferences are respected automatically.
