Fellow Family Director — the short version

You run one of the four Faith in Action pillars. You report to the Program Director, and your activities earn credits toward the Family pillar of the Columbian Award.

What the role does

The Family Director champions programs that strengthen family life — organizing Keep Christ in Christmas activities, recognizing the Family of the Month, and promoting family formation and wholesome family entertainment.

  • Keep Christ in Christmas — The signature family program — Advent wreaths, Christmas cards, crèches, and poster contests.
  • Family of the Month / Year — Nominate a family each month; winners enter the Supreme drawing and feed the Family of the Year.
  • Family formation — Programs like the Family Fully Alive resource and Holy Family consecration.
  • Wholesome entertainment — Family movie nights, Food for Families dinners, and council socials that include the whole family.

Where it shows up in DuesSync

Your Grand Knight (or FS) assigns this role on Programs → Program Directors, and the assignment flows straight onto Form #365 (the Service Program Personnel Report). Your pillar's activity also feeds the Columbian Award scoreboard and Form SP-7, which the Program Director compiles and the Grand Knight co-signs.

For the big picture — how all of these roles fit together — see Program Director, the role that coordinates the whole slate.

Source notes. Duties follow the Knights of Columbus Faith in Action program framework, Form #365 (Service Program Personnel Report), and the Grand Knight Handbook (#915). Program names are the Order's current flagship programs and vary by council and year. Send feedback if anything's off.
